Kristen Lourens is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor in the state of Massachusetts. She holds a Master of Science in Mental Health Counseling from Loyola University New Orleans and a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Framingham State College. She utilizes multiple theories and modalities in therapy such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Family systems, and Play Therapy. She works with adults, couples, youth and families with a wide range of mental health needs. She works with teens in a intensive residential setting, experiencing working with the various state agencies such as DMH and DCF. She has vast experience working with people who have endured trauma. Ms. Lourens enjoys playing softball on the weekends and trying out new places to eat and socialize. She has a soft spot for pit bulls, bulldogs and babies. She thoroughly enjoys learning about different cultures and is a strong advocate for marginalized persons.
