Dayana M. Hernández Concepción is a bilingual (English and Spanish) Mental Health Counselor. Dayana holds a bachelor’s degree in psychology from Ana G. Mendez University and a master’s degree in Science in Counseling Psychology from Carlos Albizu University in Puerto Rico. Dayana has gained therapy experience over the years and specializes in working with children, adolescents, adults, elderly individuals with chronic pain, and their caregivers in individual or group therapy. Her work, particularly with Spanish-speaking families, children, adolescents, adults, and the elderly is concentrated on depression, anxiety, anger, trauma, codependency, chronic pain, and the grief process. Dayana has experience supporting elderly individuals with a diagnosis of Parkinson’s and their caregivers experiencing burnout. Dayana's therapy approaches include Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Rational Emotive Therapy, Reality Therapy, Play Therapy, Narrative Therapy, and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy.
Dayana enjoys doing yoga, reading, and watching movies in her free time. Dayana invites clients from all multicultural backgrounds to seek counseling support and is excited to meet you.
