Dayana M. Hernández Concepción is a bilingual (English and Spanish) Mental Health Counselor. Dayana holds a bachelor’s degree in psychology from Ana G. Mendez University and a master’s degree in Science in Counseling Psychology from Carlos Albizu University in Puerto Rico and has gained therapy experience over the years. Dayana specializes in working with children, adolescents, adults, elderly individuals with chronic pain and their caregivers, in individual or group therapy. Her work, particularly with Spanish speaking families, children, adolescents’ adults, and elderly is particularly concentrated in depression, anxiety, anger, trauma, codependency, chronic pain, and grief the process. Dayana has experience supporting elderly individuals with a diagnosis of Parkinson’s and their caregivers experiencing burn out. Dayana's therapy approaches include, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Rational Emotive Therapy, Reality Therapy, Play Therapy, Narrative Therapy and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy.
On a personal note, Dayana enjoys doing yoga, reading, and watching movies in her time off. Dayana invites all clients of all Multicultural backgrounds for counseling support and is excited to meet you.
