Amanda Rodrigues is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in the state of Massachusetts. She holds a Master’s in Social Work from Boston College. Her therapeutic orientation is largely trauma-informed. This is an evidence-based approach following the readiness of the client to ensure a safe environment for exploring painful experiences, recognizing strengths, and honoring resilience. She also has training and experience with cognitive-behavioral, motivational interviewing, solution-focused, and sex-positive therapeutic approaches. Prior to working at Trust Therapeutics, Amanda worked at the Counseling and Wellness Center at Massachusetts College of Art and Design, where she provided short- and long-term therapy to clients with a range of mental health conditions. In her work, Amanda has had the fortunate privilege of working with people of many diverse experiences and identities (by race/ethnicity, gender identity and expression, sexual identity, immigration status, wealth status and spirituality). She deeply cares about exploring how intersectional identities and oppression impact sense of self,
wellness, and a sense of belonging in the world. Having dedicated a lot of time to her own healing journey, Amanda recognizes the courage required to share and explore painful experiences with a stranger.
When she’s not working as a therapist, Amanda loves releasing endorphins at the gym, indulging in poetry by Andrea Gibson and others, dancing to loud music, basking in the sun, and floating in the ocean.
At Trust Therapeutics, LLC our aim is to acquire expert staff that seek to grow with the multicultural values our team has. Trust employees are prioritized and offered competitive pay and benefits.
