Alejandro Perez, MA
Alejandro Perez is a bilingual Mental Health Counselor in the State of Massachusetts. He is fluent in Spanish and English. Alejandro holds a Master’s degree in Science in Counseling Psychology from Carlos Albizu University and a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Interamerican Univeristy of Puerto Rico.
Alejandro specializes in working with adults and teenagers presenting severe substance abuse and mental disorders, trauma, adjustment disorders. Over the years Alejandro gained clinical experience working in settings for severe mental disorders Some include Psychiatric Hospitals, Medication Assisted Treatment and legal settings.
Alejandro has received training in the effects of tobacco use. He also is trained in the education of opiates and street drugs, HIV education and other sexual transmitted diseases. Alejandro is trained in Narcan and overdose Prevention Plans, crisis Intervention.
Alejandro, a native Puerto Rican, likes spending time at the beach, listening to music, going on road trips, playing and watching sports. For Alejandro mental health is a passion. His therapeutic approach and goals are to provide clients with strategies that they could apply in their life situations and try the best they can to improve their lifestyle.
I am supervised by an independently licensed supervisor.
